When Troy completed his time in prison, he was determined to transform his life for the better, and become the best father he could be.

After joining the WIB (Workforce Investment Board) program at The Father Center of New Jersey, Troy approached his journey with immense positivity and an eagerness to learn and grow. Within just two weeks, he secured employment—a testament to his hard work and commitment to change.

“The WIB program equipped Troy with essential tools and resources to ensure his success,” notes Yanira Medina, Senior Programs Manager at The Father Center of New Jersey. “It included a pair of steel-toed boots, which he proudly wears to his new job, symbolizing not only his readiness to work but also the support he received from the program.”

Troy is incredibly grateful for the opportunity provided by The Father Center. He sees this as a pivotal moment in his journey, one that will allow him to rebuild his life and strengthen his bond with his children. With every step he takes, Troy is committed to making a positive impact, not just for himself, but for his family as well.

Troy’s story is a powerful reminder of the resilience of the human spirit and the profound change that can occur when one is given a chance and the right support.
