The Father Center of New Jersey Awarded $1 Million Sunset Grant from the Princeton Area Community Foundation’s Bunbury Fund

The Father Center of New Jersey is proud to announce that it has been awarded a $1 million sunset grant from the Princeton Area Community Foundation’s Bunbury Fund. It is among 11 nonprofit organizations chosen by the Bunbury Fund Advisors to receive an unrestricted grant for capacity building as it sunsets the fund after a decade of giving.

“This generous contribution holds the potential to be truly transformational for the work we do and the lives we impact,” says Bryan Evans, CEO of The Father Center of New Jersey.  “We are overwhelmed with appreciation to be part of this groundbreaking initiative. It will help strengthen our program and advance our mission to support men in gaining life and employment skills and meeting the responsibilities of fatherhood.”

The Father Center of New Jersey believes that children do best when father figures are involved in their lives, and offers emotional, social and economic resources to improve their lives and those of their children. Through innovative programming, including job training and certification, stress management adult computer classes, the Father Center of New Jersey empowers men to be good parents.

“We understand that strong fathers create strong families which in turn builds healthier communities,” adds Evans. “This funding will enable us to enhance our capacity to raise funds to ensure the long-term viability of our programs.”

In 2023, The Princeton Area Community Foundation’s Bunbury Fund awarded $27,800 to The Father Center of New Jersey to support executive coaching and leadership development.
