“The time is always right to do what is right.”
—Martin Luther King Jr.
Every January, we welcome the new year with hope in our hearts and determination in our souls to make our lives—and the world we live in—a little bit better. It’s what we strive to do every day at The Father Center of New Jersey. Yet, there is still something about the promise of a new year that gives us a renewed sense of purpose and focus.
We set new goals. We energize our teams. We build consensus. We get to work, so that more men have access to our programs and services, and then get to work themselves!
The new year is also a time of reflection. As we look back with pride on all that we accomplished at The Father Center in the past year, we look forward to extending our reach across the state with the help of our increased funding.
We are honored to be one of the organizations awarded a transformative $1 million gift from The Bunbury Fund at the Princeton Area Community Foundation. This unrestricted Sunset Grant will significantly strengthen our ability to further our mission of empowering men with the skills and resources they need to embrace the responsibilities of fatherhood.
We are delighted to announce Olympia l’Liou Perry, MLS, CLTC, as our new Board President. Olympia is well-known as a councilwoman for Lawrenceville Township and has been an active and dedicated volunteer and member of our Board. We also extend our heartfelt gratitude to our outgoing Board President, David Howe, for his outstanding dedication and leadership.
It’s an exciting time of growth and promise at The Father Center of New Jersey.
We welcome your involvement and support as we continue to do what is right for the communities we serve.
In the words of Martin Luther King Jr., whose legacy we also celebrate every January, “The time is always right to do what is right.”
