In February, we were proud to recognize Reggie Lawrence, a Program Manager in the Camden office, as Employee of the Month.

Reggie has been part of TFCNJ for two years, serving as a program manager for the Workforce Innovation and Business (WIB) program in Camden. In this role, he works closely with men who are unemployed, helping them gain the skills, certifications, and confidence needed to reenter the workforce. Through job readiness training and industry-recognized certifications—such as CPR, forklift operation, OSHA 10, and other workforce credentials—Reggie helps participants become more competitive and employable in today’s job market.

For Reggie, the most rewarding part of the work is seeing the transformation that takes place when a client secures employment. “It’s so rewarding when a client comes back to say they got a job and share that success, and how they are finally able to take care of their families,” he says.

Reggie has seen a growing determination among the men he serves to build a more stable future for themselves and their families. “We motivate them not just to get a job, but to keep a job, and to be a productive member of the community. We talk about that as a group all the time. I have a number of guys who are reentering society. We have conversations every day about how to become more productive to your family as a community.”

Before joining TFCNJ, Reggie worked as a GED instructor and with a drug addiction recovery center, where he also helped individuals find employment. Those experiences strengthened his passion for helping men become better fathers and stronger role models for their children.

Outside of work, Reggie enjoys spending time with his family. His daughter is studying multimedia and journalism, while his son plans to pursue a career in accounting. And when he has downtime, you can often find him watching sports—any sport. As he proudly admits, “I’m a sportaholic. I’ll watch anything on TV that’s sports.”
