Mayor Baraka is recognized as one of the country’s most progressive elected officials and a respected thought leader in urban revitalization. He serves as President of the New Jersey Urban Mayors Association, a Board Member of the New Jersey League of Municipalities, and Co-Chair of the National League of Cities’ Reimagining Public Safety Task Force, among other roles.
